Oct.29 (Sat.) Today is my birthday(^-^)v my friend, Murielle & her family, sent me a voice message － It was a birthday song. I could hear two boys and her husband singing, and she sent me a virtual kiss too！ I was very surprised and felt happy.
My daughter-in-law also sent me a video message from my four grandchildren. My syodo teacher took me a supplement, propolis. I got some beautiful flowers and some emails from friends. This is the way happiness should be! 今日は私の誕生日です。驚いたことにマレーシアでホームステイ先だったフランス人の家族からヴォイスメッセージが届いてました。皆の声(２人の坊やとご主人の声そしてMurielle)でバースデーソングを歌って、終わりにキッスの嵐で嬉しかった！ 義娘は孫たちのビデオメッセージを送ってくれました。やっぱり息子より娘は気が利きます。書道の先生は「早く元気になってね❗」と健康食品のプレゼント。友人達からは御花・沢山のメールで祝福して貰い、年に一度の幸せを感じました。皆さん有難うございます💓👍🎶

【Dried persimmons 干し柿】
I was trying to make dried persimmons here. 干し柿作りに挑戦。

Peel the persimmons and tie a string around the stalk.皮を剥き紐を付けます。

Boil them for 10 seconds in hot water. カビ避けの為、熱湯の中に10秒浸けます。

After that, hang them up to dry under the sunlight. 軒下で雨を避けて天日干し。

My friend visited from Sapporo this week. We went to Yamagata by Shinkansen (bullet train) for persimmon-picking, took a dip in a hot spring and enjoyed the beautiful autumn colours.札幌の友人と今週一緒だったので、山形に柿もぎに出掛けました。久しぶりの新幹線で柿もぎ、温泉、紅葉を楽しむことが出来ました。

It's friend's cousin's persimmon tree. 友人も私も柿もぎ初体験。これが友のいとこ所有の木です。

We picked a lot of astringent persimmons. 沢山収穫しましたが、渋柿のため渋抜きが必要です。

To remove the astringency of the persimmons, soak them in shochu (Japanese liquor) in a plastic bag for about 7 - 10 days. 渋柿のヘタに焼酎を付けてビニール袋に入れておくと、7日～10日程で渋味が抜けて食べられるそうです。

We went out for a drive. 紅葉を見にドライブです。

We had a good dinner at a Japanese restaurant near the hotel with friend's cousin. I forgot take a picture.
Next day, we went to a hot spring in Zaou. 夜は宿泊先の近くで友人のいとこ一緒に、お・い・し・い山形郷土料理に舌鼓を打ちましたが、お腹が空いていたのでスッカリ写真を撮すのを忘れてしまいました。翌日は温泉。

Not me! ホホホッ。私でないわよ！🈲

Yamagata steak that we had  for lunch was good. 美味しかったよ❗山形牛。

 We enjoyed ourselves very very much!💓⤴ 美味しい！ 楽しい❗ 美しい景色！山形最高😃⤴⤴

I went to a Japanese kaiseki (traditional multi-course) restaurant, Suzuna, with seven of my friends from syodo class.  The restaurant was located at Kameari.
Everything was wonderful(^-^)v We had a good time.
以前からお約束していた亀有の会席料理『すずな』に有志8名で行って来ました。お店の雰囲気も良いし❗お料理も物凄く美味しいし皆大満足でした。勿論私は帯状疱疹の為アルコール抜き。残念！
