●May 16(Mon.) This is Ueno Park. On the right is Ueno Zoo, and on the left is JR Ueno station.

This is the main gate(entrance) at Ueno Zoo, which has three gates. Two of the gates are under construction for anti-earthquake reinforcement now.

Oh! Cute! (^-^)v  This is the first time I've ever seen a post box with this kind of design.

●May 17(Thu.) Today is jyosikai. Jyosikai means only girls(both young and old)get together to eat, drink, talk and laugh a lot. The last time we met each other was in January.

We had a good time for 8 hours. Sorry no photo.

●May18 (Wed.) I went for a meeting from 6pm to 8pm at a revolving restaurant called Ginza Sky Lounge at Yurakucho. I have been a member of Weforum since 2001.Weforum has been around for 25 years. There are many businesswomen and female managers. Weforum is an advantage for me. It has 11 meetings in a year. Cheers with champagne. The food is delish.👍✨

●May 19 (Thu.) I went for a dental checkup.

●May 20 (Fri.) My friend came back. She has been in California since 1984. But, she got married so she will stay at Hibarigaoka in Tokyo. We had lunch and we talked a lot at my house.

This is chirashizushi with sasimi, osuimono, vichyssoise,  marinated squid with sweet tomato, cashew  nuts and chocolate.

Then I went to Nippori by bicycle. I want to buy monpe material. I'm going to wear a monpe next Thursday. A monpe is a pair of work trousers. In the past, Japanese women used to wear kimono, so wearing monpe helped to improve their freedom of movement. On my way back home I took a picture. This is Yanaka；this area is loved by many foreigners.They are interested in old houses.

●May 21 (Sat.) I made amonpe today. First, I made a paper pattern, then I cut the material.

I like sewing. So, I have a lockstitch machine.

I run my sewing machine by foot.

It's completed!

I don't have time to cook, so I ordered a pizza.

I like to watch sumo (wrestling) tournaments on TV.

They are  yokozuna (wrestler)Hakuhou横綱 白鵬 and yokozuna Harumafuji横綱 日馬富士. They are Mongolian.

Hakuhou is a 28-time championship winner.

Sumo is the national sport of Japan. It is a match of two sumo wrestlers who wear only belly belts in the ring. The Japan Sumo Association holds six tournaments a year in Tokyo(Jan. May. Sept.), Osaka(Mar.), Nagoya(July) and Fukuoka(Nov.).

Yokozuna(横綱):The highest ranked of all wrestlers, a yokozuna will not be demoted by the consequence of a tournament, but if the result turns out badly, he could be forced to retire.

● May 22(Sun.) I went to Kokugikan, which is a sumo tournament place. 

It takes 20 minutes from my house by bicycle.

I've never seen the victory parade, but I went to take a picture for my blog.
