2016.Jun.6-Jun.12 Kamakura

●Jun 6(Mon.)Today is osegaki at Engaku-ji(円覚寺) in Kamakura(鎌倉).Kamakura is also called 'Little Kyoto'. It is a wonderful place with cultural property, temples, and historical spots that attract many people.

This is a gate. The entrance fee is ¥300.

This is an ajisai (hydranges) at Engaku-ji.

There are leaflets:French version and English version. You can get them at the entrance gate.

This is a painting on the ceiling.

This is the osegaki place;a lot of peaple attend Buddhist service ceremonies here. You can check this link for the meaning of Segaki. It is similar to the Chinese Hungry Ghost festival. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Segaki

This is my family grave.

The temple prepared lunch for us. I was very tired, so I bought two cakes.(^○^)

●Jun 7(Tue.)Today I went for a syodo(Japanese calligraphy) lesson.

●Jun 8(Wed.) June has a lot of rainy days; it's called tsuyu season. There are many ajisai(hydrangea) at roadsides and house gardens.

●Jun 9(Thu.) I'm helping to check the company's general ledger(accounting). I've been on a long trip, so I have to do a lot. Since I'm busy, I don't have time to cook.

I ate a pizza. I love pizza! The side dish is free;I had a coupon.

●Jun. 10(Fri.) I'm tired from checking the ledger. So I went out on my bicycle, and now I feel refreshed. This is the fabric shop street(布の街)in Nippori. There's special sale this week. I had to stand in line at checkout counter for some time.

●Jun. 11(Sat.) , 12(Sun.)I practiced syodo (calligraphy), I checked the ledger again, and did some washing, cleaning, etc. These are photos of my breakfast.

My niece presented me with a Japanese radish and some cucumbers. Her hobby is growing vegetables.

This caramel sauce is from Murielle, she is French. Thanks Murielle!

I bought this table cloth from a fabric shop in Nippori. The vichyssoise bowl is from Baccara. I got it from my friend Matsu(that's a nickname). Thanks Matsu!

See you next week(^-^)/
