2017. Apr. 13 特別編 Friends coming from San Francisco

I quite my blog a few months ago, but I'm making an exception for this special occasion.
Let me show you some pictures. When I went to Singapore last year, I made friends with a Singaporean couple who live in San Francisco.
Last month, on their way to Singapore, they decided to visit Tokyo for cherry-blossom viewing. I know that they're genial, moderate and polite, so I suggested them to stay with me at my house.

They landed at 4:13 pm at Narita Airport, then rented a Wi-Fi and stored their Singapore luggage at the airport.
For dinner, we went for sushi at a standing restaurant in Akihabara. They were very happy to eat sushi. They favorite was yakigeso (squid's legs).
On our way back home, they bought a dessert;taiyaki. I remember that when I came back to Japan, I ate sushi and taiyaki too.

These pictures were taken by him.

My Singaporean friends bought two SUICA cards at JR Ochanomizu station. SUICA is a convenient prepaid transportation card. Then they went to Akasaka to meet her sister and brother-in-law. By coincidence, my friend's sister and her husband were also in Japan to visit Kyoto and Tokyo, but they were leaving today. They spent a few hours together before her sister left for Narita Airport.  After they had lunch at Shinjuku, my friends went to Harajuku and Asakusa, while her sister and her husband went to Narita Airport.

After my regular volunteer support, we met near Ueno Park. Ueno Park has about 800 cherry trees, and it is one of the most famous cherry blossom viewing spots in Tokyo.
We had a party under the cherry blossoms. We clinked our glasses and said "Cheers."

Mar. 31(Fri)
We left home at 8:00 am and went to Kamakura. I usually transfer from Chuo-line to Yokosuka-line at Tokyo station. But today we rode on the Shinkansen(bullet train.)
Our route for the day was like this:
Kitakamakura- station ➡Engakuje ➡Tokeiji➡Jyochiji➡Kenchoji➡Tsuruoka--Hacthimangu➡Comachi-street➡Kamakura-station➡Yuigahama-station➡restaurant Matsubaraan➡back home

Apr.1(Sat.)
They participated in a Tsukiji Fish Market tour in the morning. Before I took them to Tsukiji, we drove around Ueno Park and went through Chuo-dori from Ueno to Ginza.
On the way we stoped at Nihonbashi (Nihonbashi bridge) and took some pictures. After they finished their tour, we met at Mitsukoshi department store at Nihonbashi again. I guided them around some shop, and then it was about time they went Narita airport. We miss each other, but we promised to meet again soon.
We became closer friends and laughed every day. I really happy to spend time with them.

一旦打ち切ったblogですが、また特別編でUpするかもしれません(^^;
