88日間のシンガポールとマレーシア未亡人の一人旅

88日間の長旅を終え、次は海外の友人へ日本文化と未亡人の近況報告です。勿論美味しいものは外せません!1年間は続ける決意で。

2016.Apr.28~May.7 Dear friends,

How are you? I'm very fine. Thanks for your kind hospitality when I was travelling!

I've already finished my 88-day trip. While I was in Singapore and Malaysia, I was really happy to know that many people like Japan and Japanese cuisine.

After coming back to Japan, I thought I would continue my blog in English. So, my friends and readers can know more about myself and my home country.

Please enjoy my blog!(^-^)v

After coming back from abroad, I cleaned my house and went to some banks. Checking, moving, running errands, etc. This is the most famous bank in Japan.

Lunch time!

This is a type of Japanese soba called 'yamakake soba'.

This is Akihabara. It's a 10 minute walk from my house to Akihabara. It's raining today. Can you see Don Quijote?(ドンキホーテ) It's a shop that sells everything under the sun!

I like this sushi bar restaurant, which has no chairs. It's not expensive, and there are many types of sushi. The sushi is fresh, with a smoller portion of rice.

I ate many pieces of sushi and a glassful of sake.

Yum yum! I'm full.(^○^) But…

On my way back home, I bought a dessert. This is TAIYAKI.

 It's too hot!

I arrived in Tokyo early this morning from Singapore.  Tokyo is cold.

【The Golden Week】

The golden week is a long vacation in Japan, from April 29 to May 5. It's a great time for a holiday. Please check this URL.

In Tokyo, May's flower is 'Tsutsuji'. It's colled azalea in English.

My hometown, Hokkaido, will start it's cehrry blossom season soon.

This is Tokyo Tower and there are many koinobori(carp streamers)here.

On Children's Day(May 5), families with boys put carp streamers and display warrior dolls to pray for success in life.

Children eat rice cakes wrapped in oak leaves.

On this day, we take a bath with shobu(iris)leaves, which is believed to drive away evil.

Many Japanese people look forward to the golden week.
