Jan.16(Mon.) I went to 国技館(Kokugikan) to watch a sumo (wrestlling) match. 
今日は相撲観戦に国技館まで来ましたよ！

There were a lot of people. Can you see a banner 満員御礼 (maninonrei)? It means, "Thanks for the full house". チケットを購入するのも大変な位満席です！ 満員御礼の垂れ幕が見えますか？

I bought a tatami box seat (升席 masuseki) for four people at the sumo holl. It's a small box. There were three of us. We enjoyed the match very much. ４人マス席を予約しましたが、3人で利用しました。 今日の場所は、良い対戦でとても楽しめました❗

Jan.18(Wed.) Today was Women's Executive Forum's New Year party at a Japanese restaurant, ささ樹 at Akasaka. 今日はWeフォーラムの新年会が赤阪で行われました。

We shares our New Year resolutions one by one. 皆で今年の抱負を一人ずつ言いました。

We also had fun asking questions while eating lunch. 私たちは食事を楽しみながら会話が弾みました。 お料理も美味しいし和食器がまた一層目も楽しませてくれました。
The food was good and the Japanese tableware was exquisite.

One of the members was wearing a kimono and her hairstyle was done in a way called a New Japanese coiffure. メンバーの一人は着物で新日本を結ってらっしゃいました。
I took a picture with her. 私も一緒に写真をとって貰いました。

Although the Japanese coiffure culture has almost perished except in kabuki (the traditional drama performed by male actors), period dramas, Karyukai (the world of geisha), and the wedding industry, people today usually style their hair in the New Japanese coiffure when wearing haregi (festive dress) on New Year's Day and other occasions. 日本髪文化は歌舞伎、時代劇、花柳界、結婚産業以外では殆ど衰退したが、現在では正月などの晴れ着の場合に新日本髪を結う場合が多い。

Jan.23(Sun.) 稀勢の里 Kisenosato won the sumo championship for the first time.
It was a long-awaited victory for the fans and those involved. He is 30 Years old.
He became a sumo wrestler after he graduated from middle school. He had a hard time becoming Yokozuna. I was moved to tears.  稀勢の里が初優勝した。それはファンや関係者にとって待望の勝利でした。稀勢の里は30歳。彼は中学校卒業後力士になった。横綱になるまで苦労が多かっただろう。感激して私も泣いてしまいました。

Jun. 26 (Thu.) I went to an Osteopathic clinic, 瑛心, for the first time. It was good for me and best of all, it was near my house.
And I also recommend other clinic, Moriko acupuncture & orthopedic clinic, at Hamamatsucho. The acupuncturist and practitioner of moxiibustion－ Mr.Komori－is amazing. 私は『瑛心』と言うと治療院に初めて行ってみました。行って良かったー！私にはとても合っていました。 他に浜松町にある『モリコ鍼灸接骨院』もお勧めです。院長の小森先生の鍼灸は神業です。

Jan.27(Fri.) 稀勢の里 Kisenosato has become the 72nd Yokozuna. 
72代目 横綱 稀勢の里。 これからの活躍も期待されています❗
